Why did you start working at SSC?
I honestly didn’t know that SSC (or this industry for that matter) existed until I was contacted by a job recruiter. After three employment offers, I decided to still research this mysterious company and let me tell you, it’s one of the “best decisions I’ve made”. Never, in a million years would I have immersed myself into space exploration and engineering if it weren’t for working within SSC.
What are you working on right now?
I am currently remotely supporting all US personnel with software/hardware related issues, remote installs/configurations, access requests, managing data backups both remotely and onsite.
What makes you passionate about your work?
It’s simple. I like to be able to provide a solution to people’s technical problems or requests. Knowing that my role is integral in the overall scheme of things means a lot. Separately, having the ability to be hands-on with other systems rather than simply laptops or software.
How do you want SSC to be as an employer?
I genuinely want SSC to keep its authenticity while still adjusting to the reality that while we are “one company” we have very different methods of getting the job done.
