Emma Stenholm appointed new Chief Security Officer

SSC has appointed Emma Stenholm as the new Chief Security Officer (CSO). She will take office from 21 October as part of the company’s management team.

“I am excited to join SSC and thrilled to join the journey to help Earth benefit from Space. This is a new industry for me, and I can see both differences and similarities from my previous employers and industries. Security and resilience is crucial for all businesses today, also within the space industry,” says Emma Stenholm, new Chief Security Officer.

Emma has many years’ experience of security leadership roles from larger companies and organizations. She is currently the Director of Security and Resilience at Vattenfall – a Swedish state-owned energy company. Before that, she had various positions in corporate security, security operations and crisis management at Ericsson – one of the world’s largest manufacturers of equipment for building networks for mobile communication.

“Security and resilience have always been cornerstones to ensure competitive services and profitable business. For SSC, the requirements are also increasing as our company becomes increasingly important for societal functions and national security. Hence, it is my great pleasure to welcome Emma to the company, with all her important skills and experience that we need on our journey forward,” says Charlotta Sund, CEO of SSC.
