In a booming space industry, calm years are rare and 2025 was no exception! It was an incredibly dynamic year, packed with innovations, and filled with major milestones and achievements across the company.

Now we can’t wait to build on this momentum and explore new opportunities together in 2026!

“It has been an exceptionally full year, marked by important milestones across the company. Together, we have made strong progress and advanced initiatives that position us well for the future. Now, we are changing our company name to SSC Space to fully leverage the strength of our leading market position. SSC Space will continue to build on the recognition and trust established over decades, maintaining the same mission, values, and expertise”, says Charlotta Sund, President and CEO.

Looking back at some highlights of 2025

We supported Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost mission to the Moon, contributing ground segment services to a complex deep-space mission and further strengthening our role in lunar exploration.

Working closely with ESA for many years, we continued our partnership by supporting ESA’s JUICE mission during its successful Venus flyby, a critical milestone on its journey to Jupiter, demonstrating the reliability and reach of our global ground station network.

We hosted many prominent visits to our Esrange Space Center and one of our most important guests is Themis which was installed on its launch pad, marking concrete progress in Europe’s future reusable launch capabilities and reinforcing Esrange’s role in next-generation launch activities.

Working closely with our rocket partner Firefly Aerospace, we continued advancing preparations for upcoming satellite launches from Sweden, and the signing of a Technology Safeguards Agreement between Sweden and the United States was a very important step for international cooperation and access to space.

We are proud to have been recognized for our sustainability work with an EcoVadis Silver Medal, reflecting our continued focus on responsible and transparent business practices.

We supported several sounding rocket and stratospheric balloon launches, most recently DLR’s MAPHEUS-16, carrying 21 experiments – a new record for the MAPHEUS program.

At SpaceTech Bremen, we launched SSC Go, our latest innovation designed to meet the fast-paced demands of the commercial space market. We are excited to take on new customers and agreements from all over the world.
