LSE Space GmbH is looking for highly motivated Engineers to join our Operations Team in Darmstadt.


Tasks and responsibilities

  • Maintenance of spacecraft and ground segment operational databases, related tools, procedures, and documentation under strict configuration control.
  • Develop and maintain custom software tools that may be required for efficient and effective conduct of mission planning and preparation tasks
  • Organization, training, and operational readiness check of the spacecraft controllers assigned to the mission, in cooperation with the other analysts.
  • Collection of information / data regarding the performance of the mission and provision of inputs for mission reports.
  • Provision of spacecraft control support in the event of special operations where the spacecraft controller’s complement assigned to the mission is insufficient to meet the mission's requirements (this task is expected to be necessary for only very limited periods of time)
  • Support the generation of operational reports based on inputs received from other FCT members
  • Telemetry data consolidation and archiving
  • Support for the development and integration logic for flight operations and data processing centers, services, and operational interfaces.
  • Routine mission plan generation support, as required

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or Aerospace Engineering with software content or practical experience in the relevant field
  • Experience with the European Ground Systems – Common Core (EGS-CC) and SCOS-2000
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server) and relational database management systems (RDBMS)
  • Experience with object-oriented databases
  • Good experience with office automation tools, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access (use of functions, queries, macros, reports, input forms, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of the Linux environment including interactive shells and shell scripting
  • Good programming experience (Python, VB, VBA, JavaScript)
  • Good experience with distributed version control systems (Git)
  • Good communication skills and team spirit
  • Good knowledge of the English language
