LSE Space GmbH is looking for a highly motivated Engineer to join our Ground Data Systems Team for our customer GSOC in Gilching/Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich.

Security:
In line with security requirements, the candidate has to hold an EU citizenship. Evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process. Furthermore, in view of the nature of the work the company is in, all potential employees will undergo stringent reference and identity checks.

Your tasks and responsibilities


  • Provide routine operations support for flying missions' operational mission control systems
  • Interface to multiple space agencies, companies and vendors within satellite/space business
  • Developing relevant documentation for TT&C Ground Systems
  • Support for Ground Network architecture planning and implementation
  • Ground Network operations
  • Ground Data Systems component configuration
  • GDS interfaces tests and troubleshooting
  • Performance analysis and reporting
  • Understanding of customer requirements and further implementation of them
  • LEOP support for LEO, MEO and GEO missions (24/7 on-console support during the LEOP)

Your profile


  • A degree in Telecommunication engineering or in a similar subject
  • Solid networking background: TCP/IP, Internet protocols, data and voice transport technologies
  • Understanding and usage of CCSDS ground and space link protocols (SLE, Cortex, NCTRS, etc)
  • Understanding of TT&C Ground Systems
  • Satellite communication and ground station knowledge is an asset
  • Radio Frequency basics
  • Good communication skills
  • Good in reading / writing of technical documentation
  • Ability to explain engineering concepts in simple terms
  • System-minded and a team player
  • Fluent in English, both in speech and writing
  • German language skills would be an asset
