Ongoing: Rocket Engine Tests
Multiple rocket engine tests will be conducted daily at Esrange Space Center between 1st of December 2024 until 31st of December 2025. Risks for loud noise, debris and over-pressures close to the outer fence of Esrange. For more information, please open the safety message below.

A rocket launch is planned at Esrange Space Center in the period 21st of November – 6th of December 2024. The rocket is planned to impact in Zone B, but could also impact in Zone C. It is prohibited by law to stay in Zone A during rocket launches from Esrange.

En raketuppskjutning är planerad från Esrange från 21:a november till 6:e december 2024. Raketen beräknas landa i Zon B, men kan även landa i Zon C. Det är förbjudet att vistas i Zon A vid raketuppskjutningar.

Yes, but be aware of the warning messages on the radio when a rocket launch will occur (Radio Norrbotten on the Kiruna FM transmitter 102.7 MHz).
Zones A and Extended Zone A are forbidden areas when activated (when the sirens sound). See zone map.
No, Esrange is a civil protection object.
Short repeated signals mean danger and that you must leave the area. Continuous signal means the danger is over.
