YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Satellite GSE (Ground Support Equipment) Engineer, your mission will be to interface satellite customers and launch vehicle partners and ensure that the launch facility is equipped and ready for each mission.You will: 

  • Design, develop, and implement Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for satellite integration, test, and launch preparation activities 
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to analyze the requirements for GSE 
  • Create technical specifications, drawings, and documentation 
  • Oversee assembly and integration of GSE components and systems and execute maintenance schedules 
  • Conduct tests and verifications of GSE functionality, performance, and compatibility with satellite systems 
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards and risks

WHO YOU ARE

  • We believe you hold a master’s degree in the space or aerospace technical field 
  • Understanding of satellite systems, launch vehicle operations, mission planning, and space industry practices 
  • Familiarity with launch regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards   
  • Excellent oral and written communications and presentation skills in English are required

LOCATION

Your workplace will be at Esrange Space Center in Kiruna or SSC Solna office in Stockholm. 
Esrange Space Center is the launch and operations facility of SSC, located outside Kiruna in the north of Sweden. At Esrange we have excellent launching facilities and provide services to scientists and space organizations worldwide.
