What you´ll do


LSE Space GmbH is looking for a System Engineer to work within a team of System and Software engineers to develop the ground segment and monitoring and control system for an exciting new European flagship mission at GSOC.
  • Support requirement development, definition, consolidation, and refinement
  • Support the design and development of complex ground segment architecture and infrastructure
  • Function as interface between engineering, system integrators and external stakeholders
  • Identify risks and obstacles throughout the project development
  • Participate in meetings and reviews with various high-profile stakeholders
  • Development of a system model that covers all aspects of the ground segment and design deliverables
As the mission advances
  • Support the creation of various technical documents (ADD, ICD, TR, MP, etc.) from the derived system model
  • Support of entire development cycle, especially during design, implementation, deployment and testing
  • Support of reviews and acceptance tests as part of the different project milestones
  • Creation and update of the system model and derived documents as the project evolves

What we are looking for


  • University degree in a relevant discipline
  • Proven and demonstrated experience in system engineering and space system project management throughout the complete life cycle (Phase 0 to E)
  • Experience in design, development, and operation of complex ground infrastructure
  • Experience in the writing of technical documentation, such as Design Documents, Interface Documents, Test Reports, Maintenance Plans and Risk Catalogues
  • Familiarity with the ECSS standards
  • Able to work in an interdisciplinary team
  • Self-starter, able to work independently with a minimum of supervision and have a systematic approach to work
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Experience in the Mission Control System domain would be an asset
  • Experience in Model Based System Engineering (based on SysML) would be an asset
  • Experience in software development for space missions would be an asset
