Software Engineer (f/m/d) for Satellite Ground Segment Systems

LSE Space GmbH is looking for a Software Engineer to support our Software Engineering Team in Gilching, Munich area. The main focus of the position will be the design, development and maintenance of Satellite Ground Segment Systems. 

 

Tasks

  • Provide support for the design and development of a satellite ground segment systems
  • Provide support during all phases of the software development life cycle
  • Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation
  • Software incident resolution
  • Software testing and quality assurance

 

Profile

  • University (or similar) degree in Computer science, Engineering or similar discipline
  • Strong problem solving and logical thinking skills
  • Self-starter, able to work independently with little or no supervision in a small team
  • Fluency in English
  • Object oriented software development, software design patterns, software Testing and Debugging
  • Structured software development and verification, software maintenance
  • Experience in Linux environments and supplementary scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python)
  • Experience with different database technologies
  • Strong knowledge of C++ and/or JAVA

Additional experience of any of the following is also desirable:

  • Knowledge of ECSS-Standards and SCOS2000 systems
  • Building and maintaining multi-stage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Maven, JIRA, GITLab, Nexus and SonarQube.
  • Experience with CORBA
  • Experience with SCRUM
  • Knowledge of distributed systems
  • Experience with network protocols
  • Genuine interest in space and ground systems
