Head of Market Region APAC

SSC is seeking a manager for our APAC Region with the responsibility for business development, sales and profitability.

 This role is ideal for the individual that has the ambition, drive and unique cross-functional, multi-disciplinary leadership skills set to grow our Satellite Management Services (SaMS) business in the APAC region.  You will be a leading a diverse, business development team that shares the common vision of keeping SSC as the leading supplier of satellite management services in the world.  The successful candidate will lead our business development efforts, manage the sales teams and develop both the long-term and short-term strategies for the region to meet the Order Intake, Revenue and profitability targets.

 The role is part of the SSC Group Global Leadership Team.

 You will be expected to bring your knowledge, previous experience and forward-thinking in the space industry, with a demonstrated focus on ground segment services.  As the owner and operator of the world’s largest network of multi-mission ground stations, SSC is well positioned to meet the ground station services needs of the world’s most demanding space missions.

 If you have…

  • At least 5 years of Complex Sales experience gained in a high-tech business environment, preferably within the space industry
  • Strong strategic capability in combination with business acumen
  • Strong Leadership skills in a context of cultural and geographical diversity.
  • Experience from leading a business with sales and revenue targets
  • Experience in developing business plans, strategies, partnerships, etc.
  • Advanced negotiation and contract closing skills
  • Good technical understanding and strong problem-solving ability
  • A robust network of contacts in the space-industry with a specific emphasis on contacts in the APAC space market is preferred
  • a University degree, e.g. Engineering and/or Economy/Business
  • Fluent in the English language, both written and verbal
