Ground Segment Engineer (f/m/d) for GovSatcom in Prague/CZ

LSE Space GmbH is looking for a Junior Ground Segment Engineer (f/m/d) to join our Service Team for EUSPA in Prague, Czech Republic.

 

Tasks

  • Technical support in the preparation of requirements for the procurement of a secure operational ground segment (GOVSATCOM Hubs) including remote communication systems (terminals and software) needed for the end-to-end secure services provision, project reviews, evaluation of deliverables, RID preparation, coordination of the contracts, flow down of component level requirements, database (e.g. DOORS) maintenance and management, preparation of component level texts, ground segment and service analysis and evolution, users’ needs implementation in the design and operation of the GOVSATCOM component
  • Technical support for the definition of service level agreements (SLA)
  • Support the system development follow up, system qualification and acceptance activities
  • Analyse requirements traceability with a view to confirm compliance
  • Review of the technical documentation for the ground segment level activities and ensuring consistency with system level documentation
  • Produce and maintain up-to-date the physical architecture diagrams to reflect the actual status of the system deployed and operated
  • Interface with industrial and/or institutional players and service operator for aspects related to operability improvements to be injected in industrial contract amendments
  • Support the assessment of the performance of the ground infrastructure industrial contractors, through the review of the relevant KPIs and deliverables, and propose actions and improvements to address issues and opportunities
  • Contribute to the analysis of anomalies raised by the service operator and participate to the relevant anomaly review boards for aspects related to ground segment
  • Analyse change requests (CR)/Contract Change Notice (CCN) relevant to the ground segment and support Configuration Control Boards
  • Participate in the ground segment evolutions development reviews
  • Support the qualification/acceptance reviews of new releases of the Ground Segment up to services roll-out
  • Contribute to trade-offs between different ground segment approach scenarios

 

Profile

  • Engineering degree in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in a SatCom project
  • Experience in space system engineering and standards
  • Fluency in English
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Ability to work in a multinational and interdisciplinary team
