Business Development Director for SSC Space Australia

In the sales role you will support our APAC business development team and participate in the entire sales process and be active in both long-term and short-term planning of how the customer relations in Australian space business will be developed. This involves activities from identifying the need of our customers in Australia, participate in creation of offers, negotiating and closing business agreements together with our Business Development Director in Sweden.

The role also involves management of SSC Space Australia from financial, legal and HR perspective in addition growing our existing business as well as identifying and cultivating new potential customers.

In the management role you will lead and represent SSC Space Australia with respect to local and federal government relations as well as required financial and management reporting for the SSC group. You will manage the operational and maintenance work perform at our satellite ground station at Western Australia Space Center located north of Perth.

You have 

  • Several years of B2B sales experience, preferably in technical systems sales
  • Successful experience in management including finance, legal and HR applications
  • A University degree, e.g. Business or Engineering Master or similar
  • A business approach in all you undertake
  • A strong ability to build both short-term and long-term relationships
  • Experience from the satcom industry in Australia as well as a broad contact network



The location for the new SSC Space Australia office is yet to be decided. More important is that we find the right individual for the new role. This will influence the location of the new office.
