Two successful balloon flights have been performed from Esrange Space Center: CLIMATE and BANA.
CLIMATE was launched on August 29 at 03:24 UTC and BANA on September 3 at 04:43 UTC.
Both missions were successful - technically and scientifically, and the universities from France and Canada are very happy with the results.
The second objective of this mission; to qualify CNES' NOSYCA system * to our specially developed NIMA system* was also very successful. The two systems worked perfectly together.
*NOSYCA: New Operational SYstem for the Control of Aerostats - a new standard for balloon flights
*NIMA: NOSYCA Integration of Multipurpose Antenna
