They will provide the ESA Payload Safety Review Panel (PSRP) engineering service, for payloads flying to and operated onboard the International Space Station.
A team of four Aurora and LSE Space engineers will commence the service on 1st January 2014, working with the support of the ESA PSRP technical experts (ESA TEC directorate) from several disciplines: structures, EMC, electrical/avionics, thermal, batteries, mechanisms, materials, biology, opto-electronics.
The team will be led by an ESA staff chairman.
Aurora and LSE Space are currently the only companies in Europe contracted for providing such a service.
