The REXUS/BEXUS programme (Rocket and Balloon Experiments for University Students) offers opportunities for student experiments to be flown on sounding rockets and stratospheric balloons. Each year, two rockets and two balloons are launched,
carrying up to 20 experiments designed and built by student teams. The programme is targeted at student teams from universities and higher education colleges across Europe.
Around 45 students from all over Europe are arriving on Thursday, September 20, preparing their experiments for balloon flights from Esrange Space Center.
Two balloons, BEXUS 14 and BEXUS 15, are getting prepared for launch between September 20-23.
BEXUS 14, with two student experiments, is planned for launch on September 24 and BEXUS 15, with four student experiments, will be launched in close connection to that, the next day or with a day in between.
