SSC welcome over 80 students from around Europe to Esrange Space Center
On 15-19 February 2016, SSC welcome over 80 students from around Europe to Esrange Space Center to participate in the REXUS/BEXUS programme’s ‘Student Training Week’. This year the training week will offer the eight REXUS and also actually eight BEXUS teams the chance to have their preliminary design reviewed by a panel of experts from DLR Space Administration, DLR MORABA, ESA, SSC, and ZARM, as well as attend training courses from industry experts in fields as varied as mechanics and electronics to outreach and project management.
Student’s also will have the chance to take a tour of the Esrange Space Center facilities and see first-hand where they will be launching their experiments from in October 2016 (BEXUS) and March 2017 (REXUS). On top of a packed schedule of training sessions and design reviews students also offers exciting evening social events and guest lectures. Throughout the programme the students further develop all the necessary skills in design, testing, implementation/manufacture, operation and data analysis to allow them to become new enthusiastic engineers and scientists of the future.
